The T.E.A. habit
T.E.A. stands for Thoughts, Emotion, Action. It is the one small habit Theresa Wong practises every day, and the one she hopes everyone else will try.
What T.E.A. is
T.E.A. is a three-step mindset routine. Theresa Wong likes to keep a very positive mental mindset, and T.E.A. is how she does it on purpose rather than by luck. Whatever bad thing happens, or whatever other people think is negative for her, she turns it into positive. The order matters: thoughts first, then emotion, then action.
T is for Thoughts
Start with what you're thinking. The habit is to catch a thought and deliberately turn it positive, even when the situation looks bad. This is the step that takes practice, which is why she does it every day and not only on hard days.
E is for Emotion
Positive thinking gives you a calm emotion. That's the whole point of starting with thoughts: you can't force yourself to feel calm, but you can think your way there.
A is for Action
Once the emotion is calm, mind and heart work together. The action that comes out of that is, in Theresa's word, impeccable. Act before the emotion settles and you get the opposite.
Why it's a habit, not a trick
Theresa's view on habits is consistent: it's not the big changes that stick, it's the small thing you practise daily. T.E.A. takes a minute. Done every morning, it becomes the default. You can hear her talk about why small habits matter in the videos on the home page, and read more about Theresa.
